Tonight at 21:30 Mediterranean Film Festival is closing with awards ceremony in three categories and an all night party among the pine trees. The winners will receive “Udica” (“Hook”) work made by young artist from Split, Luka Mimica.
Norwegian movie “Out of nature” by Ole Giaever will close the curtains of this year’s movie festival that made Split a real movie centre and which attracted a great audience from Split and other locations.
On its last day, the festival leaves the Mediterranean even as a part of the programme, and screenings start at 17h in movie theatre “Zlatna Vrata” with a Brazilian movie “Boy and the world” for children above the age of 7, as a part of the children’s programme “mali mEDITEran” in cooperation with Animafest.
In the same location, at 19h, we are screening “A Pigeon Sat on a Branch Reflecting on Existence” by Swedish expert Roy Andersson that won “Golden Lion” in Venice and defeated “Birdman” that after that won an Oscar.
Free screenings at Art Gallery are closing at 21:30 with five best titles of Cartoon d’Or, award for the best European short animated film of the year.
