Summer movie theatre "Bačvice" as the central location of Mediterranean Film Festival Split was sold out for the first two days, however during 9th festival edition there is a great interest for other two locations, movie theatre "Zlatna Vrata" and this year's special location: summer terrace of movie theatre "Tesla"where screenings of foreign short films take place every evening at 21:30.

The 5C Project Cine-Caravan, a travelling programme for film culture and education of young people, students and general audience, during this year's FMFS (10th -12th June) will also have its stop in Split. The programme comprises film screenings, work-shops and seminars in four states of south-east Europe (Greece, Croatia, Romania and Albania) and it is being organised by Balkan Cultural Centre in cooperation with Mediterranean Film Festival and Kino klub Split.

There are 78 movies from 39 countries in the programme of 9th FMFS that will take place in three locations from 3rd to 11th June, in which there will be five regional and five Croatian premieres as the part of feature film programme. These are the numbers that show that Split will be the centre of Mediterranean film world in the first two weekends of June.

Extraordinary Isabelle Hupert is starring in the movie "L'Avenir" (Things to come") for which the director Mia Hansen Love won the Silver Bear award for best achievement in direction on this year Berlin International Film Festival. Oscar winner Juliet Binoche is starring in an exciting film "L'attesa" ("The Wait"), feature debute film of the director Pierre Mesina for which he won an award on the latest Venice Film Festival.
