“Since this year we are celebrating 120th film anniversary, a lady of a certain age has dived out as the part of the visual; representing the metaphor of longevity of the film and seriousness of this year’s programme. Nowadays, in the sea of different movies, we often need a good filter. By looking through “swimming goggles” the festival makes its selection; the shape of the goggles is similar to the figure 8 and with its rotation we have a symbol of infinity.” represented Karlo Kazinoti the visual.

This year we have prepared numerous novelties so you can book easily your seat in our movie theatres. Firs of all, our associate AgentCASH has insured the online ticket sale, but also the credit card payment at our box offices. Besides that, this year we are presenting two types of a Festival ticket that was very popular last year: FMFS FAN and FAN Bačvice. Online ticket sale starts on 14th May, and online ticket sale of single tickets on 25th May when the full programme will be presented. Starting from this week, FMFS is becoming a part of the international initiative “KineDok” that aims to create an alternative distributional network for documentaries that are screened on different locations that are not ordinary movie theatres.

Creative Europe is financing the project while a production company Restart documentary is a Croatian partner and a local partner is Judino Drvo, where screenings of rewarded documentaries will take place during the entire year.

The first one is a Czech documentary “Sugar Blues” that is scheduled on 22nd April at 21h. The entrance is free! You can follow this programme onFacebook Event and on our website.

We need volunteers for everyday jobs at movie theatres, box offices, info desk and for distribution of promo material. We also need you for some more important tasks that take time, therefore we prepared a small financial compensation for some tasks.
